We Commit to Gain Knowledge with Gratitude and to Find Hope in Community, Inspiring and Challenging Others to do the Same.
About the Trip
This immersion experience is intended to challenge us as students to understand immigration from social, political, and religious perspectives. We will spend a week with Frontera de Cristo in Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico, and Douglas, Arizona.
In preparation, we have learned about and evaluated U.S. immigration policies and the effects of these policies on people (locally, nationally, and internationally). Most importantly, we framed our study with a religious or spiritual lens, challenging ourselves to discern our individual, community-level, and national responsibilities regarding migration.
